There are about 12 temples located on different parts of Koh Phangan. In every year, the local people organize temple fair in order to make the charity in the purpose to gather the money to renovate the temples. The fair is organized every month at different temple for approximately 7 days.

People not only join the fair to have religious merit making and celebrations but there is a lot to see and do at the temple fair. Lots of food along the both side of the road in front of temple attract people to come to the fair. Nowadays some local traditional food is hardly fined to have. But it is available here. There are also many famous games with fantastic prizes attracting players to take a chance to get win like Bingo and darts. On the stage 5-7 shows are performed every night. Famous Thai singers are sometime invited but mostly a big group of student band performs the show.
